History

In 1992, the construction of the first lithium carbonate plant began in Hong Kong.

In 1995, Chuhonglithium (state-owned) was born.

In 2004, Mr. Jiang Weiping purchased Zhuhong Lithium through Tianqi Group.

In 2007, completed the joint-stock reform, changed to "Sichuan Tianqi Lithium Industries,Inc."

In October 2008, the company obtained the exploration right of Yajiang Zola Lithium pyroxene mine.

In August 2010, A-shares were listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

In June 2011, it acquired 20% of The shares of Shanghai Aerospace Power, opening up the distribution of lithium battery industry.

In April 2012, it obtained the mining license of Cuola Lithium Pyroxene Mine in Yajiang County, Sichuan Province.

In May 2014, it completed the acquisition of 51% interests in The parent company of Talisson, Winfield. It owns the Greenbush mine.

In August 2014, it purchased 20% of Zabouye Lithium held by Xizang Mining to jointly develop Zabouye Salt Lake Lithium resources.

In April 2015, it acquired the lithium carbonate production base located in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province.

In 2018, we entered into a share purchase agreement to purchase an additional 23.77% interest in SQM, which is expected to increase our total interest in SQM to 25.86%.

Business

The lithium concentrate obtained from Tianqi Lithium is mainly used to produce four kinds of lithium chemical products, namely lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride and lithium metal. The company's lithium chemical products are widely used in the terminal industry, including electric vehicles, energy storage systems, aircraft, ceramics and glass.

The company's main holding subsidiaries are Wenfield, Jiangsu Tianqi, Zhuhong Tianqi, Chengdu Tianqi, Shengqilithium and Tianqi Australia. Among them, Talisson, wholly owned by Winfield, is engaged in the mining and supply business of lithium pyroxene concentrate. It is the world's leading lithium ore supplier, accounting for about 65% of the global lithium ore output and about 35% of the global lithium resource supply.

Jiangsu Tianqi and Zhuhong Tianqi are engaged in the production of lithium chemical products, and Tianqi Shenhe owns the xishan section of The Xiajica lithium pyroxite mining area in Asia -- The Cuola Lithium pyroxite mining area in Yajiang County. The main products of Zhuhong production base are lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride, lithium metal and other lithium salts.

Chengdu Tianqi is engaged in the sales of lithium concentrate and lithium chemicals, Shenghelithiummining in Ganzizhou Cuola lithium mineral, and Tianqi Lithium in Australia is engaged in the production of battery grade lithium hydroxide.
